burrito kitty

5 Oct

Burrito came to us through different circumstances. We were holding our usual Saturday pet fair when someone came up to us with questions about feral/semi feral kitties. People coming up to us with questions is normal considering we’re at a pet fair for kitties. I’ve read extensively about feral/hard stray kitties and was comfortable giving the lady advice on whether the kitties would be tamable or not. So we answered all her questions and she left hoping for the best. We went about the pet fair and she came back with a couple more questions, we answered them and she left again. She came back a third time, but this time to ask us if we could come by and check out the kitties and determine whether they could be tame or not. Not missing out on any chance for bottle babies, BF said yes! We exchanged information and set up a day to come over.

A couple of days later, we went to see the kittens and we were surprised by how much bigger they were than we had thought (and hoped), but we took them anyway.

There was three kittens initially, but we were left with just Burrito for medical reasons and because he was the only one that seemed to be taming down any. Unfortunately, the other two kitties had to be released, but they are being well cared for. BF actually got a job where the kitties were released and feeds them everyday. So he sees them almost every day. He’s also been put in charge of TNRing the feral colony there.

So, without further ado, here’s Burrito! He’s cute, but feisty!
